What is a Virtual Assistant?
A Virtual Assistant provides support to a business remotely, (virtually) using technology and is self-employed utilising skills from previous employment such as an Executive PA and is experienced from a whole range of fields. Virtual Assistants can tailor their services to the needs of a sole trader, a small business or a large corporate – wherever there is a need.

The advantages of using a Virtual Assistant is that a client can focus on growing their business or selling their products, rather than the time-consuming administration tasks. Hiring a Virtual Assistant (or VA) it is usually more cost-effective than a temporary worker or employee or undertaking the tasks yourself. Other benefits include the fact that you only pay for actual time and services used and time-tracking reports are provided, so no hidden costs.
The aim is to provide a supportive, caring and valuable service to all my clients ensuring that all their tasks are completed to the highest standard. I have qualifications in RSA typewriting, audio-typing and I have had training in Microsoft packages and other associated programs also. I am educated to degree standard and can communicate at all levels for your clients.
In order to meet the growing needs of my clients and my own personal needs too, I undertake continual professional development. I blog about my life as a Virtual Assistant detailing what is happening in the here and now.
I have 40 years of board-level PA and administration experience within both the public and private sectors. I understand the unique challenges executives face and can provide the confidential support needed to achieve their business goals. I am following GDPR compliance and I am registered with the ICO.
I have a successful career spanning a variety of industries including the NHS, Finance, Local Authority, Engineering, Housing, City Councils, Event Management, and Graphic Design amongst others.
